Events & Journal

Holy Trinity Coverham hosts several services which bring the community together from the wider benefice. Trinity Sunday service is held in the spring, on occasion accompanied by a local brass band. The beautiful and much anticipated Candlelit Carol service takes place the weekend before Christmas and is a wonderful start to festivities in the dale.

Friends of Coverham hope that there will be more services in the future to include the revival of the pet service and lambing service.
Future events include concerts, theatrical productions, sustainable flower festival, historic tours. We are always open to ideas!

Weddings

Weddings are sometimes possible by special licence if the couple can prove a genuine, longstanding and continuing link to Holy Trinity, Coverham.  Alternatively, couples may have a wedding blessing, where they are married legally either the day before or in the morning at a registry office.  This service is very similar to a marriage service and includes the exchanging of vows.  Please contact Liz and Jeff as above.

If permission is granted for a special service, the following must be considered and discussed with the Co-Rectors: 1. Fees, 2. Permission for parking in adjacent field, 3. Cleaning of church, 4.Environmentally friendly flowers, 5. Careful use of candles, 6. Collection.

NB Currently there is no lighting, heating or toilet facilities in the church, although these are all on the desired project list.
