Recent Events

We celebrated the start of Advent with North Yorkshire's leading professional soloist choir, Jervaulx Singers, who performed a beautiful a cappella programme of seasonal secular and sacred music.

It certainly delighted the senses and calmed the soul, before the Christmas madness started!

Delicious mulled wine and sausages were served to a very appreciative audience.

The energetic production of a Midsummer Night's Dream was charismatically portrayed by the youthful This Is My Theatre performers. 

Friends of Coverham Church served glasses of rose wine and strawberry and cream canapes.

The Wild Coverdale Flower Festival was wonderfully well supported with well over 200 friends and new faces joining us for the Friday night performance by the talented trio of Kathryn Tickell, Charly Curry Brown and Andy May; and for the Saturday sustainable flower demonstrations. 

The locally grown, seasonal flowers and foliage, free from harmful floral foam, created a thoughtfully composed and stunning backdrop to the event.  We are thrilled to have been made ambassadors for Sustainable Church Flowers. Despite the hideous weather, our first theatrical event by the hugely inventive This Is My Theatre Company was a great success.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to see their production of A Christmas Carol and supporting us. 

The mulled wine and minced pies from Worsdale Farmhouse Baking were a festive finish to the evening.

Eurythmia Ensemble provided a wonderful evening of choral music, we provided the eats. The second of many beautiful events at Coverham.

The stories of the Pen Hill Giant, written and performed by Carmel Page, went down a storm with local children and adults alike, as did the cakes!
